The symmetrical orientation of the action buttons allows for perfect control of your main tricks and the shoulder buttons offer the perfect amount of resistance. I have grown fond of the GCN and Xbox controllers, but the Dual Shock 2 is really the business, at least for this game. In this respect, the PS2 version takes the cake. There's a subtle floating quality to the camera that takes away from the hard and fast action of Hawk.Because the controls are so similar, the advantage really comes from the controller. I have, however, come to notice that I enjoy playing the GameCube version the least because the camera acts slightly weird. All systems also use a shoulder button for the revert move, which is the only real addition to THPS3 in terms of control.
